Tatanka is the native American term for Bison and that correspondent nicely with the way this artist rampaged into the charts in 2005. Within a few months everybody was screaming ‘hardstyle is the music….’ and his remix of ‘nobody likes the records you play’ became the unofficial anthem for the festival season.
All these hits did not come as a sudden surprise; Tatanka was already famous for his early hardstyle releases and one of the most important Italian artists with a fully packed agenda in his home country. As a producer he owns one of the most advanced studios within the harder styles and is responsible for a big amount of quality nowadays.
As a dj his Bison background can be recognized in the energy his performance creates. The need for an additional sound system becomes unclear with Tatanka jumping up and down in the dj booth. As the front man of the Zanzatraxx label he is also easily recognizable with the large mosquito sign up front. But don’t let that fool you, there is nothing buzzing about a rampaging bison.
Nowadays he has an overfull schedule, with gigs all over the world. He performed at almost all festivals in Europe, like Defqon 1, Decibel Outdoor, Emporium, Reverze, Bassleader, Tomorrowland, Nature One and Qlimax, he had gigs in Australia and Mexico and off course he is a well known guest in clubs.
You can be sure that all this is not enough for him and that this bison will not retire for a long time from now!
